give me way
Too bad I couldn't capture the shadow. This guy was too fast and by the time my P&S 'booted up', he was already this close.
A new system, camera and a domain. What more could I ask for! :)
We've lots of things left to be done now and I'm so excited.

life as a journey
can be long, tiring and yet so charming
( bigger is better )
It's lots of fun going on long drives.
The 600 Km National highway (NH7) that stretches between Bangalore and Hyderabad is mostly barren, but definitely not uninteresting.

emotions
You could feel it when someone walked by you.
The excitement, from months of travel, shopping, planning. . . . . . .
Taken the night before my sis got married.
The day to follow this beautiful mehndi night was even grandeur. Thanks to people at Vinayaka Kalyana Mandapa.

must be heaven
The four hour long trek, the chill of the night, dense fog, the first break of light
and to add to the beauty, a blanket of pure white clouds.
Let the dream stay.

did you tell me you were a coder?
People often tend to get lost, in a world of their own.
It's when the monotonous life stares at you that you realize.
Thanks Sui for helping me select this one.

those were the days....
Preparations begin for theyyam, a popular ritual dance of Kerala. Held annually, this ritual is supposed to bring prosperity and wealth to all members of the family. The temple you see here is a part of a 400 year old tharavadu.

like there was no tomorrow
and then it rained.....for 6 long hours. In the middle of the desert you dont get to feel much of it.
Unlike in one of my posts where the clouds just decided to tease the onlookers, a relief to all forms of life.

A famous temple in kerala, this photo was taken after the soma yaga was conducted in the temple. The Parjanya homam (a part of soma yaga) is conducted at the height of the dry season with the purpose of pleasing the Gods to bring in rain.

majestic
it was getting darker as we moved back from fort kochi.
If you ever come down to this part of the world, fort kochi is one place you should not miss. Especially for Kashi art cafe and also for the food here. The shops here display a wide variety of fishes, fresh from the sea. Get one cooked your way, sit back by the waves and enjoy the feast. And yeah.... dont forget to drag your love along cos love is in the air baby.
Fort kochi is also known for mud-bike races and kites. If you like collecting antiques or wearing light clothes that let you fly, this sure is heaven.

With a deer park and lavish greenery all around, this palace does take us to a different world. Build in the traditional architectural style of kerala in 1865, the palace is currently a museum with a rich display of paintings, furniture, inscriptions and other such collections from the royal families of travancore and kochi.
The building you see in the picture is not the main building, it's just one of the many fourty plus buildings around the palace that i believe used to house the helpers.

silence
This was the reason i entered into the world of photography. I thought this picture deserves an award and I still do, not because I was the one behind the lens ;)
See how the window was captured within the 'apple'. Notice the frame of the window in the background.
The apple has another relevance. As one of my fellow blogger points out,
